Post Procedure Care of EyeBrows
Your Permanent Cosmetics have been applied with sterile single service needles, using the finest colors available. The end result of this procedure depends greatly on your follow up with proper care during the healing process!

FOR 5 DAY (POST-PROCEDURE CARE):
•Dip cotton balls in cold water and pat, pat, pat to the treated area once an hour for 5 hours following the treatment. If discomfort and swelling is present you may use ice for 5 minutes on & 5 minutes off, as desired for comfort (this is optional not mandatory).

•Change your pillowcase when you get home, to a clean pillowcase. We don’t want any previous body oils or cosmetics to rub into your new permanent cosmetics.  Do Not allow pets to sleep near your face for at least 7 days. Avoid tasks that involve dust and bacteria.

•DO NOT sleep on your face, as this disrupts healing and loss of pigment will occur. If area is swollen the morning after the treatment, apply cool packs.

•Gently clean treated area morning and evening with tepid clear water and your clean fingertips. Pat Dry. DO NOT SCRUB OR RUB!

•Absolutely NO soaps, cleansing creams, lotions, or chemicals may be applied to the pigmented area(s)!•Apply a THIN veil of A & D Ointment or Vaseline at least 2 to 3 times daily (More IS NOT better with aftercare ointments!). It is especially important to apply the thin veil after cleaning the area each morning and at bedtime.

•DO NOT apply make-up to treated area for at least 5 days.

•DO NOT soak the treated area(s) in a bathtub, hot tub, or swimming pool. Do not allow water pressure from shower to directly hit your face.

•DO NOT expose treated areas to the sun.•DO NOT scratch or pick any crusted or scabbed area(s). Rather, allow it to slough off naturally.

FOR 30 DAYS (POST-PROCEDURE CARE) all month:

•DO NOT use ANY type of makeup remover.

•Absolutely NO soaps, cleansing creams, or chemicals may be applied to the pigmented area(s)! Doing so within the first 30 days will only strip out some of the color before your skin has had a chance to heal totally. You may apply a light moisturizer over your brows after 7 days, if it contains no Retin A, Glycolic Acid, or Alpha-Hydroxy Acids LIFETIME

(POST-PROCEDURE CARE):
•Avoid exposure of treated area(s) to the sun or UV rays of a tanning bed. Always wear sunblock.

•If sun exposure is expected, a tip is to use “Chapstick with 30 SPF” and apply one swipe to each brow before going in the sun!

•Avoid using chemical peels, microdermabrasion & exfoliating scrubs to treated brow areas.

•The use of Retin A, Glycolic Acid, and Alpha-Hydroxy Acids can jeopardize the integrity of your permanent cosmetics. Please keep these products ½” away from your brows at all times!

•Please use caution when allowing someone to wax your brows. Advise them to stay clear of the brow hair inside the design of your permanent makeup.

 REMEMBER:
•The treated area(s) will appear very exact, dark, intense, bright, and more sharply defined immediately after the procedure. It may appear to be too dark on your initial saturation visit, however when the healing progresses, the colors will soften and blend.

•A perfection visit appointment to refine your brows may be made four - six weeks following the initial procedure.

EYEBROWS
Day 1 The eyebrows are approximately 20 to 25% darker and bolder in width than they will be when healed. Your skin is red under the pigment which causes the color of the pigment to appear darker. There is some swelling, although difficult to actually see due to the thickness of the skin in the eyebrow area. This will subside. Exfoliation, which begins in a few days, will cause the excess pigment surrounding the eyebrow procedure to flake away and a more narrow appearance will result. Now skin will heal over the pigmented area and result in a softer appearance of your eyebrows. Don't be concerned that your eyebrows initially appear darker and heavier in size than you desire. This is all part of the process.
Day 2  Conditions remain the same.
Day 3 Eyebrows start to itch and will appear a bit thicker in texture. Exfoliation begins.
Day 4 The skin begins to flake - peeling from the outside edges first.
Day 5  Color finishes flaking off and appears softer and grayer for a few days until color clarifies.
