•The treated area(s) will appear very exact, dark, intense, bright, and more sharply defined immediately after the procedure. It may appear to be too dark on your initial saturation visit, however when the healing progresses, the colors will soften and blend. A perfection visit appointment to refine and finish your permanent makeup may be made four weeks following the initial procedure.
Post Procedure Care of Eyeliner
IMMEDIATE (POST-PROCEDURE CARE):
•Dip cotton balls in cold water and pat, pat, pat to the treated area once an hour for 5 hours following the treatment. If discomfort and swelling is present you may use ice for 5 minutes on & 5 minutes off, as desired for comfort (this is optional not mandatory).
•Change your pillowcase when you get home, to a clean pillowcase. We don’t want any previous body oils or cosmetics to rub into your new permanent cosmetics. Do Not allow pets to sleep near your face for at least 7 days. Avoid tasks that involve dust and bacteria.
• DO NOT sleep on your face, as this disrupts healing and loss of pigment will occur. If area is swollen the morning after the treatment, apply ice packs. Due to sleeping in a horizontal position, swelling will be its most obvious first thing the morning after your procedure. So during your morning ice routine, try to be vertical in a seated or standing position.
•If area is swollen the morning after the treatment, avoid wearing contact lenses. DO NOT rub your eyes for at least 24 hours.
THE MORNING AFTER YOUR PROCEDURE:
•Use lubricating eye drops as needed. Apply cool packs (if desired). Cool packs are not mandatory.
FOR 5 DAYS (POST PROCEDURE CARE):
•Gently clean treated area morning and evening with tepid clear water and your clean fingertips. Pat Dry. DO NOT SCRUB OR RUB!
•Absolutely NO soaps, cleansing creams, or chemicals may be applied to the pigmented area(s)!
•Apply a THIN veil of A & D Ointment or Vaseline at least 2 to 3 times daily (More IS NOT better with aftercare ointments!). It is especially important to apply the thin veil after cleaning the area each morning and at bedtime.
•DO NOT wear mascara for at least 5 days. If you purchase a new tube of mascara, you may begin wearing it after 3 full days. DO NOT wear any type of “Waterproof” mascara for 30 days (1 month).
•DO NOT soak the treated area(s) in a bathtub, hot tub, or swimming pool.
•DO NOT expose treated areas to the sun or tanning beds.
•DO NOT scratch or pick any crusted or scabbed area(s). Rather, allow it to slough off naturally.
LIFETIME (POST-PROCEDURE CARE):
•The use of ANY type of “Make-Up Remover” (Name-Brand does not matter) may jeopardize the longevity of your permanent eyeliner!!!
•Avoid exposure of treated area(s) to the sun or UV rays of a tanning bed.
•Avoid using chemical peels or exfoliating scrubs to treated areas.
•The use of Retin A, Glycolic Acid, and Alpha-Hydroxy Acids can jeopardize the integrity of your permanent cosmetics. Please keep these products ½” away from your eyeliner at all times!
Day 1 Swollen, like you've been crying, with a heavier eye makeup look
Day 2 Swollen, usually for a few hours after waking up, with the heavier eye makeup look continuing.
Day 3 Swelling decreases with a tight feeling. The pigment begins to lift away from the skin.
Day 4 There is a "pinching" feeling. Some itching is normal as the skin begins to flake. DO NOT PICK AT IT.
Day 5 Blinking movements of the eye usually removes all pigment by this day. Color is somewhat grayish and will take a few more days to clarify to full color.
